These CL Brakes race brake pads are one of best brake pads you can get for Citroen Saxo for trackdays and racing. CL brakes pads have excellent bite from cold, no fade and give consistent high performance braking at all temperatures. We recommend the CL RC5 or CL RC6E for trackday use as these are mild on discs and have lower pad wear. On a trackday the miles driven tend to be higher than racing so a more endurance setup works best. The RC6 and RC6E work well for racing due to their high bite and quick pedal response.

Citroen Saxo VTR and VTS owners that take their cars out on track can't go too far wrong with fitting a set of CL Brakes pads to the car. The CL brake pads will provide the Saxo with great stopping power from cold, right the way up to silly temperatures. If your VTR or VTS is used competitively we would recommend using the RC6 compound front with either the RC5+ or RC6 at the rear.

  • Pad backing plates are undersized to allow for expansion under race conditions allowing better pad to disc contact

CL Brakes Pad Compounds

CL Brakes RC5+

CL Brakes RC5+ has a moderate friction level (friction coefficient of μ=0.4) making it a versatile race brake pad and trackday compound. The RC5+ should be used in low grip situations, if the car is running road tyres, or event conditions are mud, gravel, snow and water. This compound gives low noise, low dust and disc wear and works well in low temperature conditions. Run these on the back of a FWD car to stop the rear brakes locking before the fronts. It still has the instant low temperature bite the CL Brakes range is renouned for.

CL Brakes RC6

CL Brakes RC6 is used in all disciplines; from rallying to circuit racing. The RC6 compound has a friction coefficient of μ=0.5 and gives a stiffer pedal and better modulation when compared to organic braking compounds. With the low weight of the Citroen Saxo this generally is as aggressive a pad as you need.

CL Brakes RC6E

CL Brakes RC6E are one of our favourite brake pads in the CL Brakes range. RC6E or RC6 Endurance pads; offer a similar braking coefficient to the RC6 (μ=0.46) but has an extremely low wear rate. These race brake pads are ideal for trackdays, endurance racing or for teams wanting a low cost braking solution over a race season as they last 60% longer than the RC6

CL Brakes RC8

CL Brakes RC8 has the highest friction level in the CL Brakes range.(μ=0.6). The RC8 compound is used in top level motorsportThe -R version is a grooved pad to give extra cooling to the braking system.

Bought these pads about 2 weeks ago now and my god are they good....takes about 2 or three miles before they really kick in but my god when they do its awesome the pads are so responsive and react with exactly what you give'em you tap that pedal and they bite in like some sort of staffy locking on to a cat thats on his back yard the sintered metal pad gives off very low ammount of brake dust and i havent had a problem with them sqealing either, i used these in conjuction with the exact braided front hoses and maxtorq group n discs which i can also recommend highly as these help reduce pedal travel and add even more responsive into the pedal as the pads give you so much feed back you can really tell whats going on with the anchors and make you feel like your driving like a god, but the three together make you feel like you drive like the stig, once again a big shout out and thanks to kev and the team they're always friendly, helpful in every aspect and when talkin to them you dont feel like your there customer they make you feel like a mate a really go out there way to guide you in the right direction.....i shall be coming back to buy again in the near future cheers kam racing!
